Don't you just hate it when you try on a lipstick and sadly regret the shade you bought? I think we all do. So I dug through my stash and picked the top 6 shades I regret buying. Just remember it's the shade I don't like. To be honest, I love the formula of every lipstick I'm talking about but sometimes the shades are down right ugly. Now, let's take a look!

First, let's start with the shade that makes me look like a hooker wanna be. Pinkerbell by Wet N Wild. When I first spotted the Wet N Wild lipstick line Pinkerbell was the first shade I picked up. Why wouldn't I? It's pink and matte. What could go wrong? The shade is actually pretty when swatched but it's too bright, in my opinion, for a matte lipstick. Pinkerbell makes my lips look flat, ridiculously bright and sexual like a blow up sex dolls mouth.

The next lipstick is one that I reviewed not too long ago. Innocence (matte) by Milani. I actually only picked up this shade for my blog. I wanted to swatch and review every lipstick from Milanis new matte line. Unfortunately, Innocence doesn't show up on my ghostly skin tone despite it having a pink tone. Which is surprising because who would it work on? If you're any darker than a MC20 then this lipstick will be way too pale for you. I don't know, maybe if you're lighter than me it will work as a nude for you. Just keep in mind, when I say nude, I mean nude! It could possibly be used as a matte foundation stick.

Be Aware, there's now a zombie walking along the living when this next lipstick is worn (me). Captivating by Loreal. The only thing this lipstick has going for it is the packaging. *Rolls eyes*. Don't purchase it. At Least it's glossy so I don't look dried out but the color is terrible. It leaves behind a grayish tint that makes my lips look dead. I just can't learn to love this color. Except on Halloween. I'm usually in a zombie mood around that time of the year.

Now let's get excited for a big swatch of nothing. Just Enough Buff by Revlon. In the tube this shade looks like the perfect nude. You know, a little bit of pink without being too vibrant, sounds perfect! But swatched and worn it looks like pink tinted lipgloss. How disappointing! Can you see anything in the picture above?

If dry, cracked, chalky and patchy pink lips were a trend then I might reconsider this next lipstick. Girl Next Door by Lorac Cosmetics. Let's go back to Pinkerbell, this shade is the exact same situation but a little more pastel. I just can't wear it unless I use it along with another lipstick that needs a pop in the center. On the bright side, it does smell good!

Lastly, the shade I hate but I still need to wear because of the price. Melted Coral by Too Faced. A part of me just died a little when I finally confirmed my hate for this lipstick. I was extremely excited when it arrived in the mail. All of the swatches online looked gorgeous on the girls who wore it, but me? No, No, No! I look like I use a highlighter as lipstick when I wear Melted Coral. Thankfully, I know a way to fix that problem and you'll find out how soon from a future post.
Now that I talked about the lipstick shades I regret buying, I'm going to work on a post that coincides with this topic. How to wear those ridiculous lipstick shades in the back your drawer. I'll use the same lipsticks I used in this post and I'll post before and after pictures. I was going to post lip swatches with this post but I have a huge pimple on my lip right now. So yeah, right now I'm not wearing much lipstick until that sucker heals. Hope you understand!
