Makeup tutorial using drugstore products

Hello, today I am sharing a tutorial for everyday wear, prom, work or whatever/ whenever you want to wear it. I used all drugstore products, with the exception of one brush. This look is simple enough for everyone to accomplish and neutral enough for everyone to wear. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and if you have any questions just leave a comment below!

Products used
E.l.f Baked Eyeshadow singles: Enchanted, Pixie and Burnt Plum
Rimmel Scandal Eyes eyeliner in nude
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara
E.l.f liquid eyeliner
E.l.f mineral mist and set
E.l.f professional blending brush
Urban Decay Naked 3 brush
Sonia Kashuk blending brush
E.l.f eyeliner brush
Ecotools eyeshadow brush

Before you start your makeup be sure to apply primer! I used Urban Decays primer potion but I forgot to add it in the photo. I also used a setting spray to increase pigmentation but that's optional. If you're wondering which eyeshadows are the right color, I have photos at the bottom of the post for each one.
  1. Use an eyeshadow brush to apply Pixie all over your eyelid. I sprayed my brush with mist to make the pink shade more pigmented.
  2. With an eyeshadow brush apply Burnt Plum on the outer part of your eyelid and blend it out with a blending brush. I use the wind shield method for blending.
  3. Staring where you see the number three apply Enchanted with the tip of an eyeshadow brush. Go all the way around the tear duct and stop at the outer corner of the bottom lash line. Once I was past the tear duct I used an eyeliner brush for more precision.
  4. Apply a nude eyeliner to brighten your eyes. Then, darken the bottom lash line with Burnt Plum at the roots of your bottom lashes. Start at the outer corner and stop where the number four is. I used a light hand and faded out the color instead of picking up more product. For application I used the same eyeliner brush but I wiped it off before hand.
  5. With a big blending brush use Enchanted to blend out the whole look. Do this until you don't have any harsh lines. Be sure not to apply too much. I just dipped my fluffy brush in the eyeshadow one time.
  6. Now you can apply your eyeliner and mascara.
  7. VoilĂ , you're done! I hope yours turned out even better!

Swatch series- e.l.f cosmetics custom eyes eyeshadow singles

Hello, today I have another swatch series post. Someone requested that I add e.l.f's single eyeshadows to my swatch series, so I am today. Swatch series consists of makeup that's older but people still like referring to swatches before purchasing. I'm not reviewing these eyeshadows but you can find out if they're TaylorPie approved at the bottom of each post. I hope you enjoy looking at all the swatches and find something you like. If you have any questions leave a comment below and I will answer ASAP. Thanks for reading, TaylorPie.

These eyeshadows sell for $1.00 each and fit in e.l.f's custom pans. As of spring 2014 there are 18 shades. If you want a complete review on these eyeshadows just let me know.

Q&A

How much are they? $1.00 each

Where can I buy them? eyeslipsface.com

How many single eyeshadows are there? 18 colors

Are they long-wearing? Not alone but if you use a very good primer then they wear most of the day.

Are the eyeshadows soft? Yes

What is the rating for the eyeshadows? 4.3 out of 5 stars, 369 reviews

What are the ingredients? Paraffinum Liquidum (Mineral Oil), Polyisobutene, Silica, Synthetic Beeswax, Fragrance, Methylparaben, Propylparaben May Contain: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Red No.27 Lake (CI 45410), Red No.7 Lake (CI 15850), Yellow No.5 Lake (CI 19140), Blue No.1 Lake (CI 42090), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891)

Will I repurchase? No, they have too much fallout and I think you can get better eyeshadows from the drugstore with better pigmentation( I had to build up the color for the swatches). Some of the shades are TaylorPie approved. I stated which ones are under the photos of the eyeshadows. I had to build the color for the rest of the shades.

TaylorPie's rating: 3 out of 5 stars

Are these palettes TaylorPie approved? No, but I think they are good eyeshadows for beginners.
