Fall Inspired Makeup Look | Drugstore & High End | Morphe 35C

A couple weeks ago I decided to give in and order my first Morphe palette. I ended up picking the 35N and what do you know, I love it. In fact, I loved it so much I ordered another one. The second one, which is the 35C, arrived a day ago (as I'm writing this), and I couldn't help but create a look with it for a tutorial.

Now I know some of you said you'd rather have a day time tutorial before the fall tutorial but I wanted to go ahead and get the fall one up before... Well, Fall is over! Christmas is seriously right around the corner and we all know holiday tutorials are in store.

Don't worry, though. My day time look will be up next week!

You will need:
Morphe 35C palette or similar colors
Tarte Tarteist Clay Paint Eyeliner or Black Gel Eyeliner
Catrice Cosmetics Liquid Metal Eye Pencil in "Blingo Starr" or a silver shimmer eye pencil
Covergirl Supersizer mascara or mascara of your choice
(Optional) NYX Cosmetics Tame & Frame Brow Pomade or Brow product of your choice
Brushes: Sigma e25, fluffy blending brush, angled eyeliner brush, smudge brush, flat shader, small pointed brush.

Directions
1. Prime your eyelids with a primer or concealer. Then set the product with a powder or any light eyeshadow you have on hand.

2. Grab a fluffy blending brush and use eyeshadow A on the second row as your transition shade. Apply it in a sweeping motion into the upper crease, than blend it in using circular motions.

3. Grab shade A on the top row with the same brush and do the exact same thing but a little lower in the crease. Blend until there are no harsh lines.

4. Now to deepen the crease use shade B on a Sigma e25 and sweep this into the crease over the second A shade we used. Once it looks blended take a clean fluffy blending brush and blend even more!

5. Take shade C and apply it all over the lid using a flat brush. Once applied take your Sigma e25 and blend that into the crease with no additional product.

6. Now take shade D and apply this on the outer V for extra definition. I used the Sigma e35 for this step. What I do is start off tapping on the black shadow all over the outer V. Then I make short sweeping motions towards the center of my eye. Just don't go to the center. Keep that black shade on the outer part of your eye. Now take a fluffy brush and blend out any harsh lines from the black shadow.

7. Now take shadow E with any brush (I used a fluffy one) and pick up just a little bit of eyeshadow. Use that to lightly transition the black shade into the lid color...Just so there are no harsh lines. I used light tapping motions. This shade is pretty similar to the lid shade but just a little lighter. So mixed in with the black, it pretty much looks the same afterwards but that's what I did, so yeah. You can go in with that same lid color in step 5 or use this one. Either is fine.

8. I forgot to add it in the picture above but I used the lightest shade in the palette to highlight my brow bone. Seriously though, any white or cream shade you have will work!

9. Now for the fun part! Use your silver eye pencil and run it around the inner corner of your eye. Once you have the desired pigmentation, use your finger and lightly dab out the edges to blend it in.

10. Use your gel eyeliner to line your eyes. I went with a simple wing that I created with an angled brush.

11. Don't apply your mascara just yet! First, we need to do the bottom lashline if you're comfortable with that. Take shadow A from the second row and sweep it on the whole lashline. Use any brush that you like. I just used my Sigma e25.

12. Now take shade C on a smaller pointed brush and blend that closer to the lash line. Don't go too low or it will look dark and messy down there.

13. Grab some of the black, shade D, and apply it on the outer half of the lashline only. I used a small smudge brush for this step.

14. Now take the Sigma e25 brush and blend out the lower lashline. Do not drag the shadows down, just blend them together (lightly).

15. Now take a clean fluffy brush and blend out any harsh lines anywhere on your eye. If there are none, add mascara and call it a day!

The lipstick I have on in the photo above is Chilly Chili by Colourpop. A full review of it can be found here.  Also, the brows are optional. Don't feel like you have to do your brows. I sometimes don't but I always do for photos just because they look more... Put together?

Are you going to try out this look? If you do, please tag me on Instagram (@TaylorPieB) and show me your work. I would love to see it!

Tutorial: Cranberry and Gold cut crease ( works on hooded or deep set eyes)

Hello, again!

I don't know about you, but I love the color cranberry. When I thought about a cranberry look the first thing that came to mind is an easy cut crease. The second thing that popped up in my head is gold. Cranberry and gold are gorgeous together. I love it so much that I might create another look soon with the same two shades. What do you think?

There are so many tutorials on the web for a simple cut crease but it's hard to come by a tutorial that includes tips for hooded / deep set eyes. Luckily, for you I am on the same boat. When I first started wearing eyeshadow I struggled applying makeup to my deep set eyes. Now I have learned a few tricks and I intend to share them with you. By the way, please ignore the bump beside my eye. I just cant get a break from my acne.

Now lets get started!

What you will need

Makeup
concealer- I used Mac's Pro Longwear concealer
dark brown, cranberry and transition shade- I used the Lorac Mega Pro palette
gold cream shadow- I used E.l.f's Smudge Pot in Gotta Glow
(Optional) White eyeshadow- optional for highlight
gold eyeshadow- I used the gold from the first Lorac Pro palette
black liner- I used E.l.f's $1 liquid liner
black pencil liner- I used Pixi's Silky Endless liner in Black Nior
Mascara- I used Loreal Voluminous mascara

Tools
your fingers!
fluffy blending brush
precise brush for cut crease- I used a stiff detail brush with a round shape but any brush will work
crease brush
small flat eyeshadow brush
pencil brush

1. Apply your transition shade all over the eye with fluffy brush. I used a light pinky shade..

2. Apply the cranberry shade to your designated crease area with a crease brush. By designated I mean the made up crease for your eye shape. To find it, look straight in the mirror and start blending on the area that looks like your crease head on.

3. Keep looking forward and use a precise brush to apply a dark brown shade to create a cut in the crease. Start out with a light line. That way if it doesn't look right it will just blend in later. Just follow the natural line of your crease but keep it above the actual crease. I hope that makes sense.

4. Look forward, then down and see if the cut looks ideal. If it does darken the line with more shadow. Try to be precise but don't worry too much if you mess up. You can fix that later.

5. Don't put down the precision brush yet. Go along the cut and flick up along that line. This step will help blend that shadow up instead of downwards. Just keep the flicks small. You dont want the brown shade up in your brow.

6. Now grab the crease brush and apply more of the cranberry shade to lightly blend out the dark brown. Do not go over the cut. blend out the shadow that is flicked up only. The goal is to have a cranberry cut crease. The brown is just to make the cut more apparent.

7. Use the same precision brush from earlier and carve out the cut with concealer. Concealer will help clean things up and sharpen the cut. If you apply too much, blend it out on the lid. I like to put the concealer on my brush and dab it on my lid then go up along the bottom of the cut and carve it. When that step is taken you don't have to worry about applying too much concealer along the cut.

8. Apply a gold cream eyeshadow all over the eye lid. Apply the gold over the concealer. I find that using my finger is easier for the most of my lid, then when it is time for the application close to the cut I use a precision brush.

9. Use a flat eyeshadow brush and apply a gold eyeshadow all over the lid. I used a lighter gold eyeshadow on the inner corner but that's not necessary.

10. Apply your eyeliner. I went with a small wing for the look.

11. For the bottom lashline apply a black liner and smudge it out. I used a rubber smudge brush but whatever works for you is fine. I tried to concentrate on the outer corner more so than the inner corner.

12. Blend out the black smudged liner with a cranberry shade using a pencil brush. This will soften the look but at the same time make it more dramatic.

13. Apply your mascara. I applied mascara to both the top and bottom lashes. Feel free to use falsies!

14. Makeup sure everything is blended. This also applies to your bottom lashes! Remember not to blend the cut with a fluffy brush.

15. Optional, highlight your brow bone with a white eyeshadow.

Now take a picture and tag #taylorpiebeauty on Instagram!

Makeup looks using the basic colors: white, brown & black- part one

Hello!
If you follow Taylorpiebeauty on social media, then you probably already know about this new series. If not, keep reading to learn more about.

Have you ever watched a tutorial for an eye look that you love but don't have the matching shades to recreate it? Well that's what this new series is all about. Pretty much everyone and and their momma has the basic colors: white, brown and black. If you do, you can recreate any look that I post within this new series. The majority of them will be easy to recreate and you'll already have everything you'll need. I really hope that you all enjoy this new series and learn something from it. I'm really excited for it. Please, feel free to ask me any questions you may have and requests are welcome for consideration.

My inspiration for this look came from the "basic eye with bold lips" that everyone is raving about. So basically it's just contouring for your eyes. I highlighted my eye lids, contoured the crease of my eye and deepend  my outer V.  If you're looking for a natural look, then you're in the right place. It's natural but still beautiful. It enhances the eye but doesn't attract too much attention. So grab your favorite lipstick and pair it with this new look that you're about to recreate!

Now let's get Started!

1. Apply primer to your eyelids. I prefer using a primer that cancels out redness when I wear simple looks like this. A good primer choice would be Urban Decays primer potion but if you don't have their primer, concealer will be fine.

2. If needed, apply tape along the outside of your eye where the liner wings out. Be sure to put the tape on your hand before you apply it to your eye area. The last thing you want to do is irritate your eyes before applying makeup.

3. Now set your primer or concealer with a translucent powder. This will help you blend your shadows later on.

4. Pick up a light brown shade with a crease brush and apply it to your crease. I find that using wind shield motions is the easiest method for this step. Once applied, buff that out using circular motions on the outer part of your eye only!

5. Next, use your same brush and pick up a darker brown and apply it to the outer part of your top eyelid
For this step I prefer using a wiping motion toward the middle of my eye but don't actually drag it all the way to the middle of your eyelid. Then blend in very small circular motions on that area only.

6. Optional, lightly apply black shadow to the outer V. Basically, just do the same step as five but don't take it out as far as the brown shade. Leave it on the very end out your outer V. This step is just for extra definition. I didn't do it in the picture provided but I do it most of the time when I wear this look. Especially when it's a night look.

7. Use a flat brush and apply a white shade all over your eyelid. Start in the inner corner and work your way into the outer corner. Don't apply as much of the white shade to the outer corner as the inner corner. We still want the definition on the outer V. Be sure to stop where your crease begins. We want to avoid getting the white shadow in the crease. Reapply the white on the inner corner until you reach the desired brightness.

8. Grab the crease brush from earlier and apply a little more brown shadow to the outer V. It doesn't have to be a lot. Just enough to deepen the V back up after applying white eyeshadow all over the lid.

9. Grab a clean fluffy brush and very lightly blend the brown shade into the white shade. Do not drag it all over the lid! Imagine a line where they both meet and stay on that line. Do not go past it. Swiping motions with a flick work best for me when I do this step.

10. Use the same clean fluffy brush and blend out all of your work. I use circular motions above the outer V and wiping motions above the inner corner. By above I mean the the crease. Not directly in the crease but the top part of the crease where the shadow needs to have a gradient appearance.

11. Remove your tape.

12. Apply your liner and mascara. If applying eyeliner is troubling, then don't remove your tape before you line your eyes.

New Years makeup tutorial -smoky eyes using the Naked 2

Head into 2015 with glamorous smoky eyes. This look is relatively simple to recreate and lasts you all the way into a new year. You can add eyeliner and glittery lips to be on the daring side. Do what you want to do on New Years. It's the one day of the year you can get away with glitter lips. If you're still not sure about it, just follow these steps to achieve a beautiful smoky look that is guaranteed to have heads turning your way.

What all you need:

Eyes
  • Eye primer ( I used Urban Decays potion primer )
  • Cool toned Brown, black and white eyeshadow (I used Urban Decays Naked 2 palette)
  • Silver pressed pigment ( I used L'Oreal's Infallible eyeshadow in silver sky)
  • Eyelashes ( I used BH Cosmetics Sassy lashes)
Lips (optional)
  • Chapstick
  • Silver pressed pigment (optional)
Brushes
  • Blending brush
  • Flat eyeshadow brush
  • Small detail brush
  • Crease brush
  • Pencil brush
Before we start I would like to point out that it's not a good idea to put glitter on your lips if they're chapped. Mine were and I couldn't get the glitter to properly smooth out on my top lip.

Now let's get started!
  1. If desired, go ahead and fill in your eyebrows.
  2. Start with primer. Apply it all over the eye area and with any left over product sweep it on the bottom lashline.
  3. Apply your cool toned brown shadow in the crease with a fluffy brush. This step will help the black shade from looking messy and help blend things out.
  4. Start with a flat eyeshadow brush and apply your black eyeshadow to your whole lid. Don't go all the way up into your crease with this shade. It will look like you have a black eye. Be sure to build it up to an intense black.
  5. Now take a crease brush and in light sweeping motions blend the black shade into the crease. Try to not be sloppy. Getting it above the crease can look very messy. Just take your time and blend in steps.
  6. Now take a fluffy brush and blend out any harsh lines around the crease. This step should keep most of the black shade in your crease but still fade it out and give it that nice faded look that you see in the picture. You will prob notice the brown shade fading as well. If you don't, feel free to lightly add a little more brown to help the process.
  7. Now grab a pencil brush and blend some of the brown under the eyes. Then follow in with the black shade. You can add as much as you want to achieve the amount of smokiness desired. I started from the outer corner and worked my all the way into the inner corner.
  8. Now pick up your silver pressed pigment with a precise brush and apply it to the center of your eye lid. I prefer rubing it in sweeping motions to avoid sharp lines from the glitter. If you don't have a silver pressed pigment, then a shade Verve may work from the Naked 2 palette.
  9. Do the same thing to the middle of the lower lash line.
  10. Optional, add eyeliner. (I didn't in this tutorial)
  11. Apply some white eyeshadow on your brow bone to brighten things up and to give your brows a lift.
  12. Now pop on some lashes.
  13. Apply your facial makeup.
  14. Add Chapstick to your lips and add the glitter pigment with a flat shading brush.

Soft New Years makeup tutorial for young teens

One of my New Years resolutions is posting more makeup tutorials. But I am a blogger and right now their are many girls frantically looking for the perfect New Years makeuplook.  So I decided my resolution starts now. I decided to start with a softer makeup looked that is targeted for younger teens or for the girls who are shy when it comes to makeup. It's really easy recreate and you don't even need the same products I used. Just pick similar shades that you already have and you should be good to go!

Hope you enjoy this look and find it helpful! Have a wonderful and blessed New Year!

For the eye look you will need the following products.
  • I used the Lorac Mega Pro palette but all you need are the following shades: cranberry, shimmery vanilla, and a dusty rose to copy this look
  • White base (optional)
  • Urban Decay eye primer
  • L'Oreal voluminous mascara
  • Black eyeshadow for lining the eyes
  • And of course some makeup brushes (shader, blending, precision/pencil, crease, lining)
For the face I used
  • Loreal True Match foundation
  • E.l.f cosmetics Hd concealer in brightening
  • Physicians Formula face powder
  • Nars Orgasm blush
  • Benefit's Hula for Light contouring
On the lips
  • Chapstick
  • Too Faced Melted lipstick in Berry

Now let's get started!
  1. First, make sure you have a clean face. It should be washed, moisturized and prepped with any primers.
  2. After applying Urban Decays primer potion, take a a fluffy brush and lightly blend a cranberry shade into the crease. Be sure not to go too high above the crease. It's better to get it all over the lid rather than covering your brow none with the cranberry shade.
  3. Pick up crease brush and precisely apply the same cranberry shade in the crease. Start from the outer v and work your way into the inner v. But try to keep most of the cranberry shade on the outer v area.
  4. After you're finished with step 3, take a fluffy blending brush and blend out any harsh lines.
  5. Next, apply a white base to the lid of the eye for enhanced pigment for the vanilla eyeshadow.
  6. Take a flat shadow brush and dab the shimmery vanilla shade all over the lid. You can also use your fingers or a sponge applicator for this step.
  7. Again, go back in with your fluffy blending brush and blend any harsh lines from the vanilla shade. Sometimes it's needed to redo step 3 to enhance the cranberry shade and that's ok. But don't forget that you might need to be blend once again.
  8. Now, take a pencil brush and apply a rosy shade on the outer v to lightly smoke things out. Blend with a fluffy brush if needed.
  9. For lining the eyes use an angled eyeliner brush and a black eyeshadow. This will keep the look soft and avoid the harshness a tradional eyeliner can create.
  10. Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
  11. If desired, apply the same vanilla shade on the brow bone to enhance the shape of your brows.
  12. Then finish up with your foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush and lipstick. (I did it in that order)
I really like this look because you can change it up to a more bold look or tame it down. You can add definition under the eyes, falsies, winged eyeliner, or even add deeper Berry shades. The possibilities are endless with this look. I decided to keep the look soft becuase it was done on a 14 year old but when I wear this look I definitely vamp it up!

Tutorial: How to clean your makeup brushes

Hello!
Today I'm going to share my brush cleansing routine. I really want to go ahead and put this on TaylorPieBeauty.com because it's such an important step to take in your beauty life. I can't believe I use to skip washing my brushes. I hope I can convince you to wash yours as well! It makes a hell of a difference.

A lot of people think it's ok to skip cleaning your brushes but it's not! You're brushes are a breading ground for bacteria and it's unsanitary to use them when they're unwashed. BUT that's not the only reason... When you have build up of products on your brushes, you can't possibly get the best finish. It's the same thing as your face. Do you apply makeup with yesterday's makeup still on? No, I'm sure you don't. So why do the same with your brushes?

Brush cleaning removes
Old makeup
Dirt and debris
Oil
 bacteria
Dead skin

Benefits
Keeps the bristles soft
Prevents breakouts
Better makeup application
Brushes last longer

What can brushes be cleaned with?
Brush shampoo
Baby shampoo
 Dish soap (my favorite)
Coconut oil mixed with shampoo
Soap bar

How often should you wash your brushes?
It really varies from person to sperson. If you're not prone to breakouts I think cleaning your brushes every 7-10 days is fine. Now if you ARE prone to breakouts then I recommend washing all of them once a week. Just to be safe though, I wash my foundation and concealer brush after every single use. I'm constantly running those specific brushes over my breakouts and I prefer sanitizing them before my next use. I just think it's better for my skin this way and ever since I started this routine I have seen a huge difference in my acne. If you don't have the time to wash them at least spritz them with alcohal when you're done with your makeup.

It's also a good idea to wipe off your eye brushes after every use. It's a horrific site when you go to apply a light shade and it's black from yesterday's look. Just trust me on this one.
Baby wipes are just fine for wiping them off. So don't think you have to go through the whole cleansing routine everyday, it's unnecessary.

What about beauty blenders?
I use Dawn dish soap to wash my beauty blender before every use. Your suppose to dampen them before you use them anyways so it's not really another step added to your routine.
One thing I like to do is put my beauty blender in the microwave for 20-30 seconds(after washing). This kills the bacteria, takes the extra water out of the sponge and helps "melt" your foundation into your skin during application(if still warm). I do this every single time I use it and I don't think I will ever stop. Just be sure not to leave it in there for too long. The last time I did it I pushed zero twice(3 mins) and it melted. Now I have to go purchase a new one, boo!

What you will need...
Dawn dish soap
Towel for drying
Running water

Some people use a brush egg or mitten to clean their brushes. I don't really find them to be necessary. I have always used my hands and will continue doing so.
If you have a million brushes then it might not hurt to have one. However, don't feel the need to purchase one if you can't dish out the money for it. It's not a must have.

The first thing you need to do
Gather all of your supplies and dirty brushes. For this tutorial I'm using the e.l.f brush shampoo and dawn dish soap. Usually, dawn is the only thing I use but I recieved the brush shampoo for free so I'm trying to finish off the bottle. So far I do like it but later on I will post a full review. So keep an eye out for that post.

When I wash my brushes I always do them at the same time but just for this post I'm going to be washing three different kinds of brushes. A Multi purpose face brush, eye blending brush and a comb brush.
Also be sure to find a decent sized towel. The bigger the better, depending on the size of your brush collection.

Everytime I go to wash my brushes I go to my bathroom sink. I think it's best when you have a clean environment, so be sure to sanitize your sink before washing.

Now let's start cleaning!
The first thing I like to do is dampen my brush in lukewarm water. It's the same as when you wash your hands, hair and teeth. The soap will lather up a lot easier and more efficiently. All I do is turn on the faucet and hold my brush under the running water for about ten seconds.

Grab your soap
After my brushes are drenched in water I pour a dime sized amount of soap onto the top of the brush. You don't have to use that much soap but I personally enjoy a good lather.

Now firmly hold the ferrule of the brush and rub the brush on your hand in circular motions. It doesn't take very long. I usually keep on going until I don't see anymore makeup on the bristles. After I suspect the brush is clean, I rinse it off and add a dot of soap to start the process all over again.

If the soap is clean, then the brush is clean.

Drying
After you're done washing rinse your brushes off.

Now gently swirl your brushes on your towel. This helps with getting the excess water off of your brushes before shaping/drying them.

Shaping
Make sure you shape your brushes! To shape them I run each brush through my hand while it's closed(fist). Do this step as many times as you want. I personally like to do it until the brush is a smooth as I can get it.

All done!
Now just lay them down and you're all done! You can leave them there or move them to a convenient area. I prefer my vanity and I like to put something under the towel to prop up the ends. That's not needed but your brushes will last longer if you do it. The reason being, the water will run into the ferrule and loosen up the glue over time.

There are many ways to clean your brushes but this is the way I like to do it. It's easy, fast and cost effective.

How do you clean your brushes?

Temporary Dip dye tutorial using Kool Aid

Hello!
I have a very fun tutorial to share with you today! Do you ever feel envious of people with bright colored hair? BUT don't want to make the commitment to colored hair. Well now you can temporarily color your hair using one cheap product!

Disclaimer: Some people have mentioned the red stains their blonde hair. Please, consider that this technique might be permanent.

Kool Aid
I know it sounds like a hot mess but trust me it looks so pretty. It's not sticky as long as if you buy the unsweetened kool aid. Just take a look at the picture below and see for yourself how pretty it can be!

The method that I used is called dip dye. It's pretty popular among younger people and I thought I should give it a try. You don't have to limit yourself to the tips. Go ahead and dye all of your hair if you want to. Whatever makes you happy! Remember just to have fun and that the coloring won't stay in forever.

The vibrancy of the shade depends on how diluted the kool aid is and the amount of time you leave your hair in the bowel. The more water you add to the mixture, the lighter your hair will turn out.

Supplies

2 packs of unsweetened Kool Aid
2 cups of water
1 cooking pot
Hair Comb
Towel
Timer

Directions

1. Make sure that you haven't washed your hair the day of the coloring or used any hair products. If you already washed it just wait until tomorrow. When your ready be sure to brush all of the knots out of your hair.

2. Pick out two packets of unsweetened Kool Aid and dump them into a cooking pot. They can be any color that you want.

3. Then add two cups of water into the cooking pot.

4. After mixing, put the pot on the stove and heat to a boiling.

5. After the dye reaches to a biol, take it off the stove and put it on the counter.

6. Immediately put the tips of your hair in the pot. Any length is fine. It's up to you how high you want the dye to go.

7. Set an alarm for 3-5 minutes. You can even go up to ten if you want the color to be really bright!

8. As your hair is still sitting in the bowel grab your comb and brush through your hair. Just don't go up too high. This step is to avoid a straight line of dye in the middle of the hair. It looks better when you fade it in using a comb.

9. When the timer goes off  take your hair out and pat it dry with a towel.

10. Let your hair air dry or if you're in a rush use a blow dryer.

11. Viola! You now have a temporary dip dye! It should wash out in about a month.

Tips
Be sure to wrap an old towel around your body! The Kool Aid dye can stain clothes.

Have someone do it for you. This is a two person job.

Sit on a chair while your hair is in the dye. It can get tiring while holding your head up.

Remember that you are going to brush the color up! So don't put too much of your hair in the pot.

Be sure to comb the line where the dye ends or you will be left with a straight line of dye.

I suggest only putting your hair in there for 5 minutes. You get plenty of color this way!

Be sure to use a towel that is old. The dye stains clothes.

If you need the dye out before a month, use baking soda or vinegar to remove the dye. Just keep in mind that this is not a guaranteed time period. The color will fade but it really depends on how often you wash your hair.

Have you ever tried dip dye?

What colors do you plan on using?

Share your thoughts!

Thanks for reading, TaylorPie.

Urban Decay Naked 3 tutorial

Hello!
Today I have a tutorial to share with you. The palette is picked for this look is the Urban Decay Naked 3. The look I created is definitely wearable and work appropriate. I typically do create looks that are within a lot of peoples comfort zone but feel free to request any unique looks you have in mind.
All of the products I used are in the picture below. The majority of it is drugstore with a couple exceptions.

Makeup
Maybelline Color Tattoo in Barley Branded
Urban Decay Naked 3 palette
Urban Decay 24/7 liner in zero
Rimmel Scandaleyes liner in nude
E.l.f liquid eyeliner
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara
E.l.f Natural Lash eyelashes
Tweezers

Brushes
Eco Tools eyeshadow brush
Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow brush
Sonia Kashuk fluffy blending brush
Sonia Kashuk detail brush
E.l.f smudge brush
E.l.f eyeliner brush

Sorry about the redness in my eyes. I get really bad allergies during this time of the year.

Here is a photo of the Urban Decay Naked 3 palette. If you don't have this palette, just try to use similar colors and I'm sure it will turn out just as pretty.

1. To start off the look I applied Maybelline's Barley Branded Color Tatoo to brighten up my eyes and to keep my eyeshadow in place all day.

2. Then, I used Limit from the Naked 3 in my crease with a fluffy eye brush. I didn't apply much but I applied enough to make the color visible. I started at the outer corner and blended my way into the inner corner.

3. Next, with an eyeshadow brush I applied Dust all over the lid in patting motions.

4. To deepen the outer corner I used Darkside. Using a precise definition brush start at the corner and work your way up the crease. Don't use too much or your crease will be too dark(unless you want it that way). I also blended it out toward the center of my eyelid but not very much. I mostly tried to keep it in the crease.

5. After I was done with Darkside I used Limit on a fluffy blending brush  to blend out any harsh lines above my crease.

6.The last shadow I used is Strange. I applied it with an eyeshadow brush to brighten up underneath my eyebrow.

7.For the lower lashline, I used Darkside on the outer corner and Dust on the inner corner & the tear duct. I used an eyeliner brush for the lashline but I wiped it off in between  different colors. If you prefer your eyes to be brighter apply more of the color Dust. I didn't go crazy with that color because right now I'm constantly rubbing my eyes in that area.

8. For my eyeliner I used e.l.f cosmetics liquid liner for a wing on the top, Urban Decays liner on the lower lashline to darken the outer corner, and Rimmels Nude liner to brighten my inner corner on the lower lashline.

9. Lastly, I applied L'Oreal's Voluminous Carbon Black mascara and applied e.l.f cosmetics natural lashes.

I hope you enjoyed this look. Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any questions.

Makeup tutorial using drugstore products

Hello, today I am sharing a tutorial for everyday wear, prom, work or whatever/ whenever you want to wear it. I used all drugstore products, with the exception of one brush. This look is simple enough for everyone to accomplish and neutral enough for everyone to wear. I hope you enjoy this tutorial and if you have any questions just leave a comment below!

Products used
E.l.f Baked Eyeshadow singles: Enchanted, Pixie and Burnt Plum
Rimmel Scandal Eyes eyeliner in nude
L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara
E.l.f liquid eyeliner
E.l.f mineral mist and set
E.l.f professional blending brush
Urban Decay Naked 3 brush
Sonia Kashuk blending brush
E.l.f eyeliner brush
Ecotools eyeshadow brush

Before you start your makeup be sure to apply primer! I used Urban Decays primer potion but I forgot to add it in the photo. I also used a setting spray to increase pigmentation but that's optional. If you're wondering which eyeshadows are the right color, I have photos at the bottom of the post for each one.
  1. Use an eyeshadow brush to apply Pixie all over your eyelid. I sprayed my brush with mist to make the pink shade more pigmented.
  2. With an eyeshadow brush apply Burnt Plum on the outer part of your eyelid and blend it out with a blending brush. I use the wind shield method for blending.
  3. Staring where you see the number three apply Enchanted with the tip of an eyeshadow brush. Go all the way around the tear duct and stop at the outer corner of the bottom lash line. Once I was past the tear duct I used an eyeliner brush for more precision.
  4. Apply a nude eyeliner to brighten your eyes. Then, darken the bottom lash line with Burnt Plum at the roots of your bottom lashes. Start at the outer corner and stop where the number four is. I used a light hand and faded out the color instead of picking up more product. For application I used the same eyeliner brush but I wiped it off before hand.
  5. With a big blending brush use Enchanted to blend out the whole look. Do this until you don't have any harsh lines. Be sure not to apply too much. I just dipped my fluffy brush in the eyeshadow one time.
  6. Now you can apply your eyeliner and mascara.
  7. VoilĂ , you're done! I hope yours turned out even better!
