Soft New Years makeup tutorial for young teens

One of my New Years resolutions is posting more makeup tutorials. But I am a blogger and right now their are many girls frantically looking for the perfect New Years makeuplook.  So I decided my resolution starts now. I decided to start with a softer makeup looked that is targeted for younger teens or for the girls who are shy when it comes to makeup. It's really easy recreate and you don't even need the same products I used. Just pick similar shades that you already have and you should be good to go!

Hope you enjoy this look and find it helpful! Have a wonderful and blessed New Year!

For the eye look you will need the following products.
  • I used the Lorac Mega Pro palette but all you need are the following shades: cranberry, shimmery vanilla, and a dusty rose to copy this look
  • White base (optional)
  • Urban Decay eye primer
  • L'Oreal voluminous mascara
  • Black eyeshadow for lining the eyes
  • And of course some makeup brushes (shader, blending, precision/pencil, crease, lining)
For the face I used
  • Loreal True Match foundation
  • E.l.f cosmetics Hd concealer in brightening
  • Physicians Formula face powder
  • Nars Orgasm blush
  • Benefit's Hula for Light contouring
On the lips
  • Chapstick
  • Too Faced Melted lipstick in Berry

Now let's get started!
  1. First, make sure you have a clean face. It should be washed, moisturized and prepped with any primers.
  2. After applying Urban Decays primer potion, take a a fluffy brush and lightly blend a cranberry shade into the crease. Be sure not to go too high above the crease. It's better to get it all over the lid rather than covering your brow none with the cranberry shade.
  3. Pick up crease brush and precisely apply the same cranberry shade in the crease. Start from the outer v and work your way into the inner v. But try to keep most of the cranberry shade on the outer v area.
  4. After you're finished with step 3, take a fluffy blending brush and blend out any harsh lines.
  5. Next, apply a white base to the lid of the eye for enhanced pigment for the vanilla eyeshadow.
  6. Take a flat shadow brush and dab the shimmery vanilla shade all over the lid. You can also use your fingers or a sponge applicator for this step.
  7. Again, go back in with your fluffy blending brush and blend any harsh lines from the vanilla shade. Sometimes it's needed to redo step 3 to enhance the cranberry shade and that's ok. But don't forget that you might need to be blend once again.
  8. Now, take a pencil brush and apply a rosy shade on the outer v to lightly smoke things out. Blend with a fluffy brush if needed.
  9. For lining the eyes use an angled eyeliner brush and a black eyeshadow. This will keep the look soft and avoid the harshness a tradional eyeliner can create.
  10. Apply mascara to the top and bottom lashes.
  11. If desired, apply the same vanilla shade on the brow bone to enhance the shape of your brows.
  12. Then finish up with your foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer, blush and lipstick. (I did it in that order)
I really like this look because you can change it up to a more bold look or tame it down. You can add definition under the eyes, falsies, winged eyeliner, or even add deeper Berry shades. The possibilities are endless with this look. I decided to keep the look soft becuase it was done on a 14 year old but when I wear this look I definitely vamp it up!

Review and photos: Becca Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme

Hello!
Cake-y appearance, breakouts, too drying, not drying enough, you name it and I have experienced it. We all have. Foundation is the most important part of your makeup routine. Bad base=bad makeup day. What's a girl to do? Well, I have the answer. (For the majority of people)

Now I'm not saying if you use this foundation it will give you the PERFECT look but it's the closest to it. You can't get rid of a bump or remove the texture from a scar but you can temporarily camouflage it. How you ask? Becca Cosmetics Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme is the key.

Product Details
You can find it at SephoraUlta or Beccas website. It sells for $44 and you get 30ml. There are 25 amazing shades.

Ideal for any skin type, this formula contains a balance of 21 percent pure pigment and 22 percent water, which work in synergy to completely conceal imperfections, redness, hyperpigmentation, and uneven texture in a weightless cream.

  • For a beautifully seamless application, ensure that your face is well hydrated and allow your moisturizer or primer to fully absorb into the skin before applying the crème.
  • This foundation is designed to be used with a brush.
  • The average foundation formula usually contains 10 to 15 percent pigment and 5 to 10 percent water, whereas this product contains 21 percent pure pigment and 22 percent water.
  • Free of parabens, sulfates, phthalates, alcohol and fragrance.

Pigmentation
The pigmentation in this foundation is one of the best I have discovered. I have a hard time finding a foundation that covers my hyper pigmentation but this foundation covers like 80% of it! And keep in mind that I only apply one thin layer and use concealer for extra coverage. So the pigmentation is pretty awesome! A

Lasting Power
On the days that I wore this foundation, I kept my makeup on for about 8 hours. The whole time it continued to look perfect. I even wore it in the rain and my makeup still looked freshly applied.

Does it cause breakouts
Ah, the most important part of this review. Thankfully, the answer is no. My sensitive skin reacted very well to this foundation.

Application/ Consistency
There is one thing that I must point out about this foundation! If you have dry patches, then I strongly suggest mixing it with a luminizer. I have to do this because of my dry acne and if I skip this step the foundation clings to those spots. But if you thin it out a little, it's the bomb.com! It's really easy to buff into the skin and it layers beautifully. The finish is matte but you can make it dewy with a luminizer mixed in(my favorite method). Once applied, it sets very quickly and doesn't feel tacky what so ever. You could probably even get away without setting it if you have normal to dry skin but I can't back that theory up for people with oily skin. Though, if you do set it, I think you will be just fine!
Obviously, the consistency is a creme. Which is great for an array of different skin types.
Amazingly, you can get FULL coverage from this foundation or keep it light. Either way it's actually breathable. Which is super super hard to find in full coverage foundations.

Packaging
The packaging is very sleek! The bottle itself looks high end and features an advanced pump. I have to say I'm really impressed with the quality of the bottle. Other companies need to take note!

Overall
This foundation doesn't get enough hype in the beauty world. The formula is truly unique and I know if everyone tried, they would rave about it. It's so Buildable and breathable. You can wear it as light coverage if you apply it lightly or you can apply two layers and have full coverage. The end result is always going to be the same, a base that looks like skin. I know the price is a little steep but it's worth every single penny. The Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme is one of those items that you need to save up for. If for some rare reason you don't like it, you can always get a full refund. However, I bet you'll love, love, love it.

Urban Decay Full Frontal Lipstick Stash Review

Hello!
It's that time of the year when our favorite beauty stores are flooded with holiday kits. And of course Urban Decay has created a beautiful lipstick stash for us lipstick crazed maniacs to purchase. This set includes six gorgeous shades. Some are limited edition and others are part of their permanent line. You can purchase it online from Sephora, Ulta and Urban Decays website for $39.00. Which I think is a great value considering a full sized lip pencil comes with the stash and they're $20 alone!

This limited-edition set contains minis of three exclusive NEW shades—Ladyflower (bright rose-pink), Crush (inspired by one of our most-coveted Super-Saturated Lip Color shades) and Illicit (sheer baby pink)—plus three mini bestsellers (including Gash!).  It even includes a full-size 24/7 Glide-On Lip Pencil in Ozone, our bestselling clear shade. Ozone holds color in place, prevents feathering, and fixes mistakes—yet it’s totally invisible on your lips.

Pigmentation
Ladyflower is a bright rose-pink. This has to be my favorite shade out of the kit. Urban Decay needs to make this a pernament color! The pigmentation for this shade is definitely considered full coverage. And One layer is good enough for a beautiful rosy pout.

Crush is a bright BRIGHT pink lipstick. This shade seriously packs some major pigmention! I can just lightly touch my lips with this lipstick and I already have enough color for my personal preference.

Illicit is a sheer baby pink. The pigmentation is ok but we have to keep in mind that it's meant to be sheer. So I guess the real answer is the pigmention is good for that lipstick. It would be a great shade for the shy lipstick wearers. It leaves behind a soft baby pink color on the lips with a very nice sheen.

Gash is a deep red shade. This gorgeous shade has very opaque coverage.

Liar is a pinky brown nude lipstick shade. This lipstick is probably my new favorties nude color. The pigmentation is off the walls and I can't get over how beautiful this shade is!

F-Bomb is a Classic cool red shade. This shade should win an award for best classic red lipstick. Everything about this color is perfect, including the pigmentation.

Lasting power
All of the lipsticks, excluding Illicit, last on me for about 5 hours. Illicit lasted for about 3 to 4 hours. It's probably because it's a more sheer lipstick. I did eat with all of the lipsticks on. I didn't use any napkins because any lipstick would come of with a napkin. But overall they stayed on and the colors were still vibrant

Application/ consistency
This lipstick stash is such a steal. Every single lipstick is super duper creamy, easy to apply and pretty much my new favorite formula. If we learned about lipstick as kids in school, Urban Decays lipstick would be the first lipsticks we would learn about. They are so easy to use that a kindergartner could use them! If I had to choose the best lipstick from the stash, it's would be Liar. Not based from the color of the shade or how pigmented it is but by the mesmerizing creaminess of this lipstick. This lipstick is the exact example of the phrase "it glides on like a dream".

Packaging
The lipstick stash is housed in a cardboard palette. The palette does snap closed with the help of magnets. If you're familiar with the regular lipsticks from Urban Decay, the lipstick tube looks like the larger tubes but smaller(obviously haha).

Overall thoughts
Even though the lipsticks are really tiny, I think the price tag is justified. This stash is a great way to try out Urban Decays lipsticks and the only way to snatch up the limited edition shades. It's also a great way to try out new colors if your shy to when it comes to lipstick. You really can't go wrong with this lipstick set. And like I said before, the full sized lip pencil is $20 anyways. So why not buy the set while you're at it? These beautiful and creamy lipsticks are a must have in EVERYONES collection. Big or small.
